Let's begin ^_^

-----------------------

K : Hi guys, welcome to Pho Street! Today I will sharing with you guys about this Vietnamese cuisine. However, we both don't eat beef, so we will not be able to share with you about the taste of beef but they do serve beef (which is also in their signature dish - Pho).

First off is beverages :)

We chose (right) Lemon Cooler with Peppermint & Basil as well as (left) Passionfruit & Basil Mojito (SGD$3.50 each)

K : It is very hot in Vietnam. Thus, they have drinks to cool your body down. The drinks in here are similar to other restaurant but, in addition of some herbs in the drink. The herbs - or u can called it leaves - will release a very leafy yet fragrant taste in the drink.

L : ( My drink was the Lemon Cooler with Peppermint & Basil which I find it very refreshing and opens up my appetite well with the sourness from the Lemon :) Somebody cannot tahan sourness so ended up with the Passionfruit one instead *stares to the person beside me* hahahahaha )

Fresh Summer Rolls with Prawn, Pork belly & Fresh Herbs (SGD$4.90)

K : The summer rolls are wrapped in a wrapper which is very thin which is good for those who don't like the taste of the wrapper. The ingredients in the rolls are simple and to my liking. However, the herbs do have a very strong aftertaste so for those who dislike the bitterness of the herbs should request not to be included or dipped with the sauce which helps to make the whole dish more fragrant.

L : ( This is one of the signature Vietnamese Street Snacks and I love the taste of the pork belly in it! I'm one of the person who don't really like the aftertaste of one of the veggies inside but the pork belly, prawn and sauce compensated it well hehe )

Summer roll dip in the sauce.

K : The sauce. This sauce makes the whole dish a very special taste. It is sweet and when dipped, the sauce will be absorbs into the wrapper along with the vegs. The sweetness of the sauce will also cover the taste of the herbs - for those who dislike the taste of bitterness.

Vietnamese Snack Platter (SGD$8.90)
Consists of Crispy Fried Pork Rolls (2pcs), Roasted Chicken Skewers (2pcs) and Vietnamese Crabcakes (2pcs)

L : ( The fried pork rolls are my ultimate favourite!! Taste damn fragrant and super crunchy in a Just-Nice-Way! On the other hand however, the roasted chicken skewers was SUPER SPICY for me and I kept on drinking my beverage whenever I take a bite >_< Ma boy likes it though, he finds the spiciness shiok lolol. So if you're not good with spiciness, you may wanna skip on the skewers but the pork rolls are a must try!!! )

K : The crabcakes are marinated with its own secret recipe but I find it tasted average. The roasted pork rolls are just simply delicious. Not too crispy and not hard. The chicken skewers are good. The taste of the marinated chicken is just awesome.

Crispy Fried Chicken Mid-Wings served with Caramelized Sweet Dip (SGD$4.90 for 3pcs)

K : These do look like average, ordinary fried chicken wings. However, it is the marinate that makes it tasty. I believed that the secret to this fried chicken taste is the marinate and the sauce. Unbelievable. The sauce is damned awesome.

L : ( The Caramelized Sweet Drip sauce is the bomb of this dish because it really brings out a very different flavor out of the chicken. Slight sweetness with a peppery finish. Love it <3 The skin is also well marinated and best enjoyed when it is still hot and crispy so don't take pics for too long with this one hahaha )

Sesame Rice Crackers with Fragrant Minced Meat and Spices Dip (SGD$6.90)

Pho Street Vietnamese Street Delights Bedok Mall Singapore Food Review lunarrive

K : The minced meat taste like curry. However, it is not that kind of spicy type of curry but more on a sweeter kind of curry.

K : This cracker is specially imported from Vietnam! It is very similar to local delights, but with black sesame. The black sesame just brings out the fragrant and taste to a new level.

K : There is a reason why it is serve both the crackers and minced meat together. When both common food is mixed together, it becomes something extraordinary. The fragrant of the crackers and the curry alike taste meat is mixed into one, trust me, you cannot stop crunching on it!

L : ( My thoughts on this dish are the same as ma boy haha. The minced meat is very fragrant but can be overpowering if you eat it alone whereas the cracker is slightly on the bland side with a tinge of sesame on its own. And when you eat it together, you get a Vietnamese snack that taste very well balanced haha. We even had a 2nd serving for the crackers hahaha )

Roasted Pork Chop with Fragrant Rice (SGD$7.90)

K : The pork rib is marinated in the headquarters transported to the store before cooking. Thus, everyday will have fresh meat to serve. Only the head chef knows the secret of the marinated meat. This dish is simple and I must say, the pork chop tasted normal. But! The sauce is a different story. It is a surprising strong taste, but with rice, it is just nice - not too strong nor tasteless.

L : ( In my opinion, I feel that it would have been much better if the pork chop can be softer but I too agree that the sauce tasted very nice. )

Banh Mi Combination w/ Pork Belly and Chicken Ham (SGD$6.90)

K : Welcome to Subway! Haha, I am just kidding. This is not Subway and the bread I must say, it is much better than Subway. No offense to Subway but I feel this Banh Mi suits better for Asian meat lovers. The bread is soft enough for you to bite through and hard enough to hold the ingredient in it.

The meat. It is pork belly and chicken ham. I suggest that you take the pork belly for it is much more juicy and tender than the chicken ham. Of course there is beef as well if you like.

L : ( I ULTRA LOVE THIS BANH MI. It tastes 10x better than what I've had before when I was in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. I guess it's because the ingredients that they have used here are very different from what I've had in the past. They included mayonnaise, chili and cilantro in it as well on top of the norm of carrot, radish and cucumber!

And the bomb is the Pork Belly!!!!! Can I have a plate of just the Pork Belly alone too? :) It taste sooooooooo good seriously and I'm definitely coming back for more in future. )

Cream of Mung Bean with Coconut Sauce and Crushed Peanut (SGD$3.50)

L : ( It tasted nothing like I've ever had before and the combination of coconut and mung bean creates a thick but at the same time very interesting and unique flavour with the peanut ending it off with some crunchiness haha. I like it! :D )
